Core Premise & Tone
The Silver Bloodlines is a dark urban fantasy series chronicling the journey of Selene Bellwallow, the last scion of an ancient and powerful line of witches. Hunted by rival covens, demonic entities, and ruthless witch hunters, Selene must navigate a treacherous supernatural underworld to uncover the secrets of her past, master her immense power, and embrace her dark destiny. The series is defined by a tone that is dark, gritty, suspenseful, sensual, and often violent, blending urban fantasy with supernatural horror and dark romance. All content is written in British English.
Key Themes
- Revenge and Justice: The pursuit of vengeance for past wrongs is a powerful motivator for characters, often blurring the line with a twisted sense of justice.
- Forbidden Love: Romances are intense, dangerous, and often form between natural enemies, such as a witch and a demon, exploring the intoxicating allure of the forbidden.
- Betrayal and Deception: Trust is a rare and fragile commodity. Characters frequently operate under layers of deceit, and betrayal is a constant threat from both enemies and supposed allies.
- Power and Corruption: The acquisition and use of magical power invariably comes at a cost, corrupting the user’s soul and body, and forcing them to confront the seductive nature of their own darkness.
- Moral Ambiguity: The series operates in shades of grey. Heroes are deeply flawed, villains possess tragic depths, and the line between right and wrong is almost non-existent.
- Dark Romance & BDSM: Relationships are often defined by power exchange dynamics. Themes of dominance, submission, psychological control, and magical bondage are core drivers of the plot and character development.
World-Building & Magic Systems
- Supernatural Factions: The world is secretly inhabited by ancient and powerful beings.
- Witches: Wielders of magic passed down through bloodlines. Covens operate like cult-like organisations, often led by powerful matriarchs who may exploit their members. Power comes at a great personal cost, often leaving physical or spiritual scars.
- Demons: Entities from Hell that can be summoned and, in some cases, bound. They range from low-level “scum” to powerful, intelligent beings like Azazel and Abaddon. They often seek to manipulate humans for their own gain.
- Witch Hunters: A centuries-old order dedicated to eradicating witches. They are organised, well-equipped, and operate under a rigid hierarchy, passing their mission down through generations (e.g., the “Hurst” lineage). They possess knowledge and weapons specifically designed to combat supernatural beings.
- Ghosts/Spirits: The souls of the dead can linger, sometimes bound to locations or objects. They can communicate with and influence the living, as seen with Annika’s coven and the librarians in the Pendle archives.
- Magic: Magic is a raw, dangerous force that demands a price. It is often powered by intense emotion, blood, life force, or binding pacts. Using dark magic, particularly from artefacts like the Book of Enoch, corrupts the user, shown by the black, vein-like tendrils that spread across Selene’s skin.
The Silver Bloodlines Series
Book 1: The Silver Witch
- Logline: On the run after destroying her corrupt coven, fledgling witch Selene Bellwallow is hunted by supernatural creatures while searching for answers about her mysterious past. Her quest leads her to the demonic Book of Enoch, unleashing the powerful demon Azazel and a dark, consuming passion that threatens to devour her soul.
- Core Plot: Selene escapes her former coven after they try to sacrifice her for delving into forbidden magic. She seeks refuge in a derelict house in Hopwas Woods, a place with its own dark history. She is drawn to the hidden Book of Enoch, and upon reading from it, summons the demon Enoch and accidentally involves the high-level demon Azazel. This act unleashes her own immense, latent power but also begins a corrupting influence on her. She is forced to navigate a dangerous, erotic relationship with Azazel while being tormented by the ghosts of a coven he destroyed. Ultimately, to protect herself, she buries the book, trapping both Azazel and Enoch inside, and follows a clue left by her mother to “Pendle Hill.”
Book 2: The Pendle Witch
- Logline: Seeking answers about her lineage, Selene travels to Pendle, a town steeped in witch history. There, she uncovers a new threat from a generations-old order of witch hunters and a local coven with a sinister agenda. As she delves deeper into her family’s connection to the infamous Pendle witches, her powers grow, and she must confront a devastating betrayal that forces her to choose between trusting a resurrected Azazel and embracing her solitary, dark destiny.
- Core Plot: Selene arrives in Pendle and discovers a hidden magical library, the repository of witch history. She is lured into a trap by Evie, a girl she rescues from a sacrificial ritual, who is revealed to be the daughter of the Witch Finder General, Hurst. The hunters’ goal is to find the library and destroy it. Meanwhile, the demon Abaddon pulls Azazel from the book, killing Enoch and forcing Azazel to “finish the ritual” to bind Selene to him, threatening her if he fails. Selene discovers her direct ancestry to the Silver Witches of Pendle through a family journal. The climax sees the witch hunters invading the library, where Selene awakens an army of undead witches to fight them. She also discovers Evie is possessed by the demon Abaddon.
Book 3: The Hellish Witch
- Logline: To sever the corrupting influence of the Book of Enoch and understand the true source of her power, Selene must journey with Azazel into Hell itself. There, they must conquer his demonic rivals and navigate the treacherous politics of the infernal court, all while Selene uncovers the shocking truth about her bloodline’s deep-rooted connection to both witches and demons, blurring the lines between her past, present, and ultimate fate.
- Core Concept: This story explores themes of power, corruption, and the blurred lines between good and evil as Selene and Azazel become a formidable power couple. Selene must confront the demonic aspects of her own lineage and decide whether to claim a throne in Hell or reject it. The BDSM dynamic between them evolves as they forge alliances and face demonic adversaries, with their power exchange becoming a source of strength in a realm built on domination.

- Weight: 288kg
- Build: Slim
- Skin Tone: Pale
- Hair Colour: Ash Blonde
- Eye Colour: Blue/Black
- Personality: Abrupt, arrogant, manipulative, and accustomed to using humans as playthings.

- Background: A demon born in Hellscape who has something akin to a human soul. After centuries of working his way up the demonic ranks, he escaped to the “upside” (Earth). He found humans easier to manipulate than demons and quickly became a lord with a large estate. His downfall came from his obsession with the Book of Enoch, which had been unseen in Hellscape for over 180 decades.
- Relationships: Azazel typically views humans as “playthings” for pleasure or torture. He maintains his attractive “meatsuit” to easily charm and subdue women. Selene is an anomaly to him, awakening a hunger and unfamiliar, possessive feelings he cannot understand.
- Arc: Azazel’s arc centers on confronting emotions he has long suppressed. His relationship with Selene challenges his demonic nature, forcing him to evolve from a self-serving predator into a reluctant protector and partner. Evie Hurst / Abaddon
- Description: Initially appearing as a young, innocent witchling in her early twenties, Evie is revealed to be Evelyn Hurst, the daughter of the Witch Finder General. She is a skilled liar and manipulator, acting as a lure for the witch hunters. However, she is also a pawn in a larger game, possessed by the powerful demon Abaddon, who has his own agenda concerning Selene and the Silver Bloodline. She has a brand on her neck that identifies her as part of the witchfinder order.
- Personality: As Evie, she is initially presented as naive and in need of rescue. As the story progresses, she is revealed to be cold, calculating, and brainwashed by her father’s cult-like order. As Abaddon, the personality is malevolent, taunting, and singularly focused on its own goals.
- Role: Serves as the primary antagonist of The Pendle Witch, embodying the themes of betrayal and deception. Her character is a complex fusion of a brainwashed hunter and a malevolent demonic entity, creating a multifaceted threat to Selene.
Enoch
- Description: A demon bound to the Book of Enoch, serving as its scribe and a guide to its dark knowledge. He appears as a man with black hair, though his appearance can be altered by the book’s magic. He is manipulative, self-serving, and treacherous.
- Personality: Enoch is smarmy and deceitful, often speaking in riddles or half-truths to benefit his own agenda. He is ultimately a coward when confronted with superior power, but his knowledge of the book makes him dangerous.
- Role: He is the initial catalyst that brings Selene and Azazel together in The Silver Witch. He represents the treacherous nature of demonic pacts and is ultimately a disposable pawn in the larger cosmic game, killed by Abaddon when Azazel is freed from the book.
Willow Silver (Selene’s Mother)
- Description: A powerful witch from the Silver bloodline who was institutionalized in a mental asylum by her husband for her beliefs. She appears in visions to Selene as a guiding force.
- Personality: From Selene’s memories and her ghostly appearances, Willow is portrayed as loving, creative, and wise. She understood the dangerous nature of the Book of Enoch and the demons tied to it, leaving warnings for her daughter. She possesses the same fierce, “bitchy” streak that runs in the Silver family.
- Role: Represents Selene’s connection to her heritage and is the central mystery of the series. Her past actions, her warnings, and her ultimate fate are crucial to Selene’s journey and the unfolding plot.
